LOCAL GEELONG TOURS
“GREATER THAN THE SUM OF IT’S PARTS”
Geelong grew from small beginnings as a port for the export of wool and wheat. It also acted as a port of arrival for diggers going to Ballarat during the famous 1850s gold rush!
From there, it’s base of industry grew to, at one point, include The Ford Motor Company along with International Harvester, Shell, and Alcoa.
While times have certainly changed, our beautiful waterfront still includes the facades of wool stores, although these now house a Westfield shopping centre along with the Deakin University campus and a concert hall.
Geelong Tours is proudly part of the Murrell Group of Companies, which started operating here in 1964! We’ve now had three generations of management over 60 years, and throughout that entire period, we’ve lived and worked right here in Geelong.
We’ve watched the town go from strength to strength over many years and never get tired of seeing customers take in it’s beautiful sights for the very first time.
We love where we live and want to make sure that we give our customers the very best welcome we possibly can so that you leave our town with nothing but great things to say and memories to cherish forever.
If you’d like to get a true local experience of Geelong, please get in touch, and we will talk you through all of the places to see and design a personalised private tour that suits your individual preferences and budget.
NOTE: WE CURRENTLY ONLY OFFER PRIVATE TOURS. PLEASE BOOK AT LEAST 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
