The Classic Great Ocean Road Tour (9.5 hours)

Experience one of the world’s most iconic road trips! A 240 kilometre stretch of road that was gradually built by our heroic soldiers upon returning from World War 1 between 1919 and 1932, the Great Ocean Road is full of beautiful scenery that has to be seen to be believed and is also scattered with picturesque little towns such as Lorne and Apollo Bay that look like they should be on a postcard! It won’t take you long to realise why this experience is such a popular “bucket list” item for so many tourists.

The Itinerary

• 8:00 AM collect group in Geelong
  8:30 AM Visit the scene of the long running World Surf League event, the Rip Curl Pro at Bell’s Beach in Torquay (15-minute stop)
• 9:15 AM Anglesea (30 minutes stop for takeaway coffee and witness the beautiful views over the Anglesea lookout) See the famous Great Ocean Road Stilt house on the drive along our stunning coastline
• 10:00 AM Arrive at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch for a photo opportunity (15 minutes)
• 10:30 AM Arrive in Lorne for a wander around the beautiful shops in the main street area. We can also visit the Lorne Golf Club for possible kangaroo sightings if requested (30 minutes)
• 12:30 PM light lunch stop at the Cape Otway Lighthouse (sandwiches and coffee etc.) and climb the lighthouse steps for incredible views (60 minutes). There is also a great chance to see koalas on the road down to the lighthouse!
• 3:00 PM arrive at the 12 Apostles (30-minute photo opportunity, with the possibility to also visit Lochard Gorge and London Bridge if time allows)
• Travel back to Geelong inland, direct via Colac, and arrive back at 5:30 PM

Our quoted price is inclusive of transport and coffee and cake in Anglesea up to a maximum of $10 per person. Please let us know if you would like any other inclusions, such as lunch, as this can easily be arranged for an additional cost.

Our driver will do their very best to stick to the schedule, but we cannot account for potential lost time due to traffic conditions etc. and it may not always be possible to spend as much time at each location as allocated.
