12 The Apostles.

This tour takes you to the magnificent 12 Apostles on The Great Ocean Road, overlooking The Southern Ocean, a place where many ships have come to grief.

We run 2 tours to the 12 Apostles. Although people know that they want to go to the 12 Apostles, they are not sure which tour to select. Both are quite different.

The Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles follows the coast down through several towns. It is the prettiest way, but slow. Leave Geelong at 8 am and arrive at the Apostles around 1 pm. On this tour, the 12 Apostles becomes the destination.

Because there are many more Limestone Pillars on The Shipwreck Coast*, some even more spectacular, we now give people the opportunity to see them as well. We travel a much quicker road. We leave Geelong at the same time, 8.00am and arrive at the 12 Apostles before 11 am.

The 12 Apostles now becomes the start of the experience and not the end. From there we travel to other iconic names, such as London Bridge, The Grotto, Bay of Martyrs and so on. You still have the same opportunities to walk onto viewing platforms and onto beaches.

*The Shipwreck Coast is generally regarded as starting at the 12 Apostles and stretching to The Bay of Islands.

around The Itinerary

> Hotel pick up at 7.45 am.

> 8:30am Quick stop in Anglesea for have a bathroom break if needed. Then up to the Lookout for our first look at the Ocean.

> We then drive to The Memorial Arch, Lorne for a coffee break and onto the Godfrey Memorial and lookout. From there onto Apollo Bay where you will have a chance to grab a bite to eat at one of the many cafes on the waterfront. From here we travel the final leg to the stunning 12 Apostles. Here we will spend 30 minutes looking down on the remaining Apostles, magnificent cliffs, and smashing waves. You will have plenty of time to get lots of photos for the many memories you will take with you.

> From there we take a short drive to Loch Ard Gorge for a chance to walk down to the beach and of course, take lots more photographs. After spending another 20 to 30 minutes it will be time to start heading back. We will return through Colac where we will stop and let you buy a snack if you are still hungry.

>5pm arrive back in Geelong.

If you are in Melbourne. Why not catch the train down to Geelong Central Station (one hour journey) and we will arrange pick-up and drop-off from the station. Or if you wish to check out our beautiful city, we can drop you off at The Wool Museum and you are less than a 10-minute walk back to the station. You will need to contact us at the time of booking to arrange the pick-up.
