The Australian Gold Rush.
Experience the gold rush of the mid 1800s. The of Settlement of Sovereign Hill is the most visited tourist attraction in Australia. Be transported back to 1854 and see and be a part of Old Australia

On this tour, especially created for our visiting friends on the Seven Seas Explorer (January 16th 2024), Viking Sky (February 12th 2024) and The Regatta (March 7th 2024 ) we take you to Sovereign Hill to experience the life in a township still intact from the gold rush days. You will feel like you are on a movie set. But this is the real thing. Go back in time to 1854. The dusty streets, you can pan for gold, walk through the diggings, eat a genuine ‘Aussie’ pie, be photographed with police, shopkeepers and miners.

My family came from overseas (4 people) and they took the day trip to Apollo Bay and Twelve Apostles. This was the highlight of their trip to Melbourne. The tour was very well planned, on time and they enjoyed it very much. Elwyn is an amazing person that was thoughtful, considerate and overall an excellent guide.

 

 

We were recommended Elwyn by tourist information centre in Geelong, we were not disappointed.. his expertise on the area and true winery knowledge made for an exceptional day for my wife and I.. not overly priced and definitely enjoyed all that was planned and unplanned, due to weather and unforeseen power outages at certain places.

The tour exceeded all expectation. We all had so much fun and wouldn’t of changed a thing overall. They were extremely knowledgeable about the different wineries in a the area and catered for our desire of explore other options such as a whiskery, cider house and brewery. We had no hassles throughout the day, with everything being taken care of prior. This made for a stress free day in which we could all just relax and enjoy ourselves.

On a Viking Cruise and found this website. Turned out to be a great choice for us. Our tour guide Elwyn picked us up right next to our ship. We had a wonderful tour with many sights including some wonderful wine at a vineyard in The Bellarine Peninsula. Elwyn customized our tour with a couple of requests from us and still managed to cover everywhere else on the itinerary. He kept it all very interesting with his knowledge of the areas and his whit and humour made for an awesome day! Possibly our favourite tour of our two week cruise.
