Welcome to Geelong Tours. Welcome to Wathawurrung Country.

Cruise Ship 12 Apostles and the Shipwreck Coast Tour.

 The Itinerary

Viking Orion.

12 Apostles Tour 5th Jan.

The Orion will drop anchor in the Geelong Bay at 8.00 am.  From there you will be ferried to The Royal Geelong Yacht Club which is right on our waterfront. It’s only 100 yards from where you get off the tender to the road where buses and tour operators will be waiting. People can frequently take an hour or more to get ashore, so we plan on having to wait until 9.30 am. If it is possible to leave by 8.30 or 9.00 am then that would be great.

We need to allow over two hours to drive to The 12 Apostles, and a further 2 to 3 hours exploring The Shipwreck Coast.  2.5 hours back and that’s after 5 pm return. ( The ship leaves at 23.00 -11.00pm)The Shipwreck Coast is spectacular and we have never had anyone disappointed. If you care to check out our FB page (Geelong Tours) you will see for yourself the many people and Nationalities we meet.

On the drive down our first brief stop if required, will be a toilet break only in regional town of Colac. It’s an approx. drive of 1 hour. Prior to arriving at The 12 Apostles we will drop into G.O.R.G.E. Chocolates. They make a great coffee and we will treat you to some Lamingtons. Australia’s favorite cake as well as some scones and jam and cream. It’s also an Alpaca Farm and you can get the chance to hand feed them.

30 minute’s here and then a short drive to the 12 Apostles.  We realize that you have come a long way, and you will probably not return, so you will not be hurried. 30 to 45minutes is average.

From there a short drive to ‘London Bridge’, which did actually fall down, and then then another short drive to The Bay of Islands. Probably our favorite rock and island formations on the Shipwreck Coast. Along this section of coast, there have been around 800 ships lost. Only 200 can be accounted for.

From there and subject to time, we will head back to G.O.R.G.E chocolates to fuel up. Grab an ice-cream or a coffee before heading back to Geelong.

Arriving back between 5 and 6 pm depending on what time we get away in the morning.
